Amazing Love

PROSPEROUS WORK : JOSEPH CASE

BACKGROUND
Joseph was an outstanding man who lived more than 3,000 years ago.
He was originally a hebrew, betrayed by his brothers and sold to slave finder who later on bring him to Egypt.

He was deprived and work as slave in a government authority, officer of Pharaoh house.
The Lord made everything that he’s done success and his master pleased with him by the good work he was doing,
The master trust him and give him the full authority of the house.
(Gen 39:3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.)

He was then thrown in jail, by accusation of the master’s wife that he tried to rape her
And in jail, Joseph again had grace from the Lord that every responsibility he has were done in a satisfactory mannner.
(Gen 39:23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.)

Until one day, he has the opportunity from God to approach the King of Egypt, the Pharaoh
Because of his ability to explain the dream of the wine master of the Kingdom.
The King asked him to also explained his dream
And Joseph ask God about the meaning.
God gave him the answer, and Joseph elaborated a very detail facts of the famine that will going to happen in Egypt in the years to come
And not stop at that, Joseph described God’s guidance and strategy on how to cope with the situation

The king was very pleased with Joseph
He gave Joseph the land and entrust him the whole Egypt to be managed under his custody. Responsible directly to Pharaoh to protect Egypt from the danger of famine.
Gen 41:40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.
And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.
Again, the Lord made Joseph plan succeed. In the event of famine, even all people from other countries come to Egypt for food.
Gen 41:57 And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.

LESSON LEARNT
Prosper is the word used in the King James version to describe the result of what Joseph did in Potifar’s house, jail, and Pharaoh palace.
The writer does not use the word, “succeed”, “accomplish” or “finish”, which create question in my mind.

Until, I understand now after relates with my director in my company that he wants a reasonable profit margin for the business.
I believe Joseph was in charge also of Potifar’s business, that he carefully managed and brought prosper in whatever he was doing.
I imagine he control the purchasing price, managed the stock, make the accounting report, and make sure that nobody cheat on his master.
He act on behalf of his master’s property like they are his own property. And the most important thing God give him wisdom to managed them all.
So, the word prosper means under his hand, Potifar get a good profit from the management of Joseph.

So the job and responsibility that Joseph has was not taken for granted. There are two factors involved.
He did it in an accountable manner and God bless him.

God wants us to be prosper. He does not just made us prosper without us being accountable.
He sees whether we are accountable of everything we are doing. On His time, the tree will bear fruit and the results are abundant.

Being accountable means that we are not doing something just for the sake of doing it. Not just finish, or just accomplish but to also prosper.
Therefore, we need to know the reason and do whatever it takes to achieve the goals of what we are doing.
God will bless us to be more creative at work, and define what we need to do.
Under God’s hand all thing we do with an accountable manner will be prosper, because it is nothing but God intention to make us prosper.

Be blessed,

FLU ENCOUNTER

Last night my baby could not sleep well.
Simple virus called “flu” attacked his immune system again.
The way he breathed was like snoring, every minutes he roll to the other side.
I just afraid that he would throw himself out of the bed.
Fortunately not.

Me and my wife tried to suck the liquid that blocked his inhalation canal.
Sometime we were able suck the liquid but sometime its not.

Then I prayed for him, I knew that he hear my voice
I gently rub his back.
He felt soothed and slept again.

Its really a good feeling to see him recovered in the next morning
With a big smile he woke up.
It’s a really beautiful smile my boy gave me this morning.

WISDOM : BE IN THE REALITY

"All things that we do in this world should be product of wisdom" (Erich N. Pesiwarissa)

Careful in work, that's the most learning issue I experience during nearly my 1st year in AKR. The management culture put very much attention on how detail you are, how precise your plan, and eventually how are those plan and detail be put in reality.

No real output, no appreciation.

I think that a significant change in the way I think previously as a university product which focus on the clarity of concept instead of the implementation. That's what university are for I think. But when we jump into the real world, people will understand better if they see the reality.

Not in work only, I think in the whole aspect of life we need to be careful and full of wisdom. Let me name one example. Raising children, like our baby boy Rainier also needs a lot of wisdom. It is a challenge for us to understand his needs, to provide the financial related to his needs, to provide him with good environment to grow, to relate him with the right people, are several key issues. Me and my wife need to hand in hand work together to make sure that all things are available in place.

The bible itself name a lot of verses related with wisdom. God himself create the universe in His wisdom. The usefulness of wisdom for us are varied, I will name some of them.
1. To protect us from the bad intention of people around us.
Proverbs 2:11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. 12 Wisdom will
save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, 13 who leave  the straight paths to walk in dark ways.
2. To brings us reward
Proverbs 9: 12 If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer."
3. To make us strong
Proverbs 9:1 Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars.
4. To brings us patience
Proverbs 19:11 A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense
5. To create peace in our heart
Proverbs 10:23 A fool finds pleasure in evil conduct, but a man of understanding delights in wisdom.

Wisdom does not come by its own. It is a result of fear of the LORD (Proverbs 15:33),  Humility (Proverbs 11:2), Willingness to take advice (Proverbs 13:10), Carefulness & Discretion (Proverbs 8:12), and Correction (Proverbs 29:15). Its a real process to get wisdom, it is costly, and the bible explain that it is more expensive than gold.

However, the truth is still the same, wisdom will keep us on track. If we are open to wisdom and willing to accept the requirements attached to it, we'll see that it has many added value in our lives.

Be blessed,

My wife is just so wonderful...she has talents in writing which I never knew before. You can see her writing in vernet.blogspot.com. She cares for her family, and amazingly encouraged to publish our family to the internet hehehe...what a way to present our family.

Yeah, I believe that our family is God's gift.

Today, I was angry to my colleague. What I know that setting a meeting is a two way communication. He has to get the confirmation on the time and agenda before the meeting start. But what I experience is just not a professional way to do a meeting. Fyuuuhhh, what can I say, some people don't have manner at all.

This morning I drove my car to my wife's office. She's just sleeping...hehehe after listening to Derek Prince on RPK....sooooo sleepy....after that I put my car there. Its been 3 times that she drives the car to my office to pick me up... She really a fast learner. I took a bus from her office and yes, a very cheap expense...only 4000 rupiah to my office.

And here I am, doing things to make my company work in a more structured manner.

I realize that focus is the key of all. It seems that the company lack of focus, which I put my profesionalism and knowledge at stake.  Hope that what I do will bring benefit to the company.

Doesnt want to bore you...Im going back to work...
